TurboTax is relatively fast to use when preparing your income taxes.  You will answer a series of questions.  They take you step by step through each portion of the tax returns.  You will be asked all the questions necessary to find the deductions and credits for which you qualify.  There is not likely to be an easier way to prepare your taxes other than taking them to an accountant.  You can e-file your returns with TurboTax.  In doing so, you could receive your refund in as little as eight days.

TurboTax online offer four tax preparation options.  Those who can use the 1040EZ forms and other simple forms can actually prepare their taxes for free.  Those who have children, own a home, make donations throughout the year and so forth should opt for the Deluxe Package, which is $29.95.  The next option is $49.95 and meets the needs of those who own rental properties, have stocks and bonds, mutual funds and similar situations.  Finally, the Home and Business Package at $74.95 is for those who have a single owner LLC, are consultants or sole proprietors.  These prices and packages are for federal income tax preparation only.
