GoDaddy Review

GoDaddy was founded by Bob Parsons in 1997 and is currently the largest domain registrar in the world. The company includes more than 32 million domains under management, and provides a comprehensive package of services, including web hosting. This company prides itself on the fact that none of the GoDaddy work is outsourced or shipped overseas. For the GoDaddy client, this translates to high quality service and products at a price you can afford. GoDaddy offers a wide variety of web hosting packages, so clients of all shapes and sizes can find the best package for their needs.

Plan Features :

GoDaddy offers three different hosting packages to adapt to any client's need. The first is the Economy Plan, which includes 10 GB space and 300 GB transfer. Clients can have up to 100 email accounts and free software and Google webmaster tools. The next step is the Deluxe Plan, which includes 150 GB space and 1500 GB transfer. This package also offers up to 500 email accounts and unlimited websites. The last option is the Unlimited Plan, which includes unlimited space and transfer, 1000 email accounts and unlimited websites. This package also provides a free SSL certificate.

Pricing :

Pricing varies based on which plan you choose and how long you sign up for. The Economy Plan can be purchased for just $4.25 a month if you sign on for three years. The Ultimate Plan costs $14.99 for one month or $12.74 a month if you sign up for 36 months. There are coupons available for the GoDaddy packages through various websites. While the monthly cost may seem a bit higher than other hosting companies, there are plenty of freebies thrown in to make GoDaddy a decent value for the money.

Reliability :

GoDaddy boasts a world class data center and a 99.9% uptime rating. The security guarding your systems is top notch, and monitored around the clock. The support team is available 24/7 and the response time is much quicker than one would expect with such a large company. There is also ample information on the website to help new users learn the ropes.

Customer Service :

The support center at GoDaddy is available 24/7 and can be reached by both phone and email. Response times are generally pretty fast considering the size of the company. Emails are answered within seven hours. The help center online is fairly easy to navigate with plenty of information for clients. While some have complained in the past about slower response times, GoDaddy has definitely picked up the pace in answering concerns and questions. Most current clients are fairly satisfied with the availability and response times of the help desk.

Summary :

GoDaddy may cost a bit more than other web hosting services, but most clients believe the amount of extras packed into the packages make this company a good value. Support is available and quick, and the website provides plenty of good information as well. With a large range of services and a knowledgeable, experienced technical staff, GoDaddy can be a good choice in a hosting service.
